Conductive Metallic Foil is a material you need to min-max your characters and weapons in The First Descendant, but finding it can be frustrating. So, here’s how to get Conductive Metallic Foil in The First Descendant.
Where to get Conductive Metallic Foil in The First Descendant
You can get Conductive Metallic Foil in The First Descendant from Encrypted Vaults and Storage Boxes in the Vespers. Teleport to any zone in the Vespers and look for them using your scanner.
To open an Encrypted Vault or an Encrypted Storage Box, you need a Code Analyzer (or a Code Breaker, if for the Hard difficulty). Depending on the rarity of the Code Analyzer, you can get more Conductive Metallic Foil.
One basic Encrypted Vault, on average, drops five Conductive Metallic Foil, but you can get more of it and make the code-breaking minigame easier if you use Enzo to interact with the Vaults. Enzo is especially handy when using Ultra-Precision Code Analyzers.
Best Conductive Metallic Foil farming location in The First Descendant
Timberfall has the most possible locations for Encrypted Vaults in Vespers. Use any of the teleporters and travel to the southwest side of the map to look for vaults. Once you’ve opened all the vaults, you can also explore The Ruins and The Lumber Yard.
Even though Timberfall has six potential locations for Vaults, they spawn randomly. The fastest farm you can do is open vaults in Timberfall, fast-travel to Albion or anywhere else, and then travel back to Vespers to load into a different instance.
How to use Conductive Metallic Foil in The First Descendant
You can use Conductive Metallic Foil to research three items in The First Descendant:
- Energy Activators
- Python Nano Tube Blueprint
- Ultimate Valby Enhanced Cell Blueprint
While Python and Ultimate Valby are both great, the main use for Conductive Metallic Foil is to craft Energy Activators. An Energy Activator increases the maximum Module capacity of a Descendant or a weapon, which is key to becoming stronger in the endgame of The First Descendant.
