Palworld is all about harvesting resources to craft useful items, and one of the more important resources you will find are Ice Organs. Here’s everything you need to know about how to get Ice Organs as well as what they’re used for.

What are Ice Organs used for in Palworld?

There are a few different recipes you can craft with Ice Organs, from weapons like the Ice Mine or Ice Grenade to essential base items like the Cooling Box. Ice Organs are also necessary to build Saddles for certain ice-type Pals, like the Frostallion Saddle.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, you’ll find that Ice Organs are absolutely essential for anyone who hopes to survive the more frigid areas of the Palworld map. Every piece of armor that grants cold resistance requires Ice Organs in order to craft.

How to get Ice Organs in Palword

To get Ice Organs in Palworld, you can either buy them from a Wandering Merchant or collect them from Ice-type Pals. There are two ways you can collect resources from Pals: by capturing them with Pal Spheres or by attacking them and knocking them out.

The Pals you can collect the Ice Organs can be particularly helpful around your base, so it might be a better choice, in the long run, to capture them rather than attack them.

What Pals drop Ice Organs in Palworld?

There are 13 Ice Pals, and you can collect Ice Organs from the following:

  • Pengullet
  • Penking
  • Cryolinx
  • Sibelyx
  • Frostallion
  • Wumpo
  • Foxcicle
  • Ice Kingpaca
  • Reindrix
  • Ice Reptyro

You can also gather them from the Cryst versions (the Ice elemental variations):

  • Hangyu
  • Vanwyrm
  • Jolthog
  • Mau

The best way to farm Ice Organs in Palworld

The best way to farm Ice Organs quickly is by finding the spawn areas of Pals that drop it. The best Pal to farm Ice Organs from is Pengullet, which can be found not too far away from the starting location, or along one of the many coastlines in the game.

Farming Pengullet for Ice Organs is especially useful because you’ll also accumulate Pal Fluids along the way, which are essential for building Hot Springs in your base to manage sanity levels.

The Pengullets will always respawn in the same area, so once you have found a group, you can keep returning to harvest Ice Organs as much as you want. That sounds a lot worse than was intended, but you get the idea.

As well as carrying Ice Organs, Pengullets are also very handy to have around your base as they are diligent workers due to their Watering ability. When you have Pengullets in your base, they will be able to water anything that requires Watering, such as berries. Because of this, I would recommend capturing at least a few Pengullets at first for your base, even if it can be easier to just attack them and take the Ice Organs.

The best place to get and farm Ice Organs

If you want a surefire way to farm Ice Organs in Palworld easily and in large quantities, the Penking Alpha Pal will be your best bet! You can find this boss in Wildlife Sanctuary, at the coordinates 113, -351. However, you won’t want to defeat the Alpha here if you’re after more Ice Organs.

Instead, go to the Sanctuary and don’t fight the Penking boss. Focus on the Pengullets, farm each one, and then exit. This way, you’ll be able to return immediately and redo the fight. If Penking is defeated, the boss battle will go on a cooldown and you’ll have to wait for a whole hour before going at it again!

Buying Ice Organs from Wandering Merchants

You can also purchase Ice Organs from the Wandering Merchant in Duneshelter (located at 359, 348) if you’d rather focus on farming Gold instead. You’ll find they’re relatively cheap, too, at a measly 100 Gold each, making this perhaps the most time-efficient way to stack Ice Organs in the game.
