Here are the 21 rarest and most expensive One Piece cards worth money

One Piece Card Game is still a relatively new trading card game, having released in late 2022, but some of the One Piece-themed cards have already become must-find collector’s pieces worth upwards of $6,000⁠ over more recent years.

There are a few surprises among these valuable cards, though for the most part, the list’s dominated by Manga rares and parallel versions of characters like Luffy, Zoro, Nami, and Law. There is also a high number of rewards cards for competitive play like Championships and Treasure Cups. While you’re going to have to open your wallets to get your hands on the rarest One Piece Card Game cards, there’s no doubt they’re all incredible.

Prices are based on TCGPlayer listings, which collect recent sales, TCG market trends, and interest in One Piece cards. Card prices are subject to change⁠—value rises and falls daily⁠—but most valuable cards hold similar value across weeks, months, and new set releases. From Romance Dawn gems to the competitive year-end Championship reward cards, here are all the most expensive One Piece Card Game cards.

21) Yamato OP-01 (Treasure Cup)

This Yamato card sells for around $703. This beautiful Secret Rare Parallel is a reprint from Yamato’s original Romance Dawn alt-art, though this version of the Son of Kaido looks even more incredible with the Treasure Cup reward trimmings around him.

20) Eustass “Captain” Kid Parallel Alt-Art (Manga Rare)

This Kid card sells for around $712. It’s the cheapest of the Awakening of the New Age Manga cards that shipped as a trio, with Kid’s popularity placing him firmly behind Law and Luffy—both of whom appear later in this list. Unsurprisingly, however, Kid’s still a famed character and having to share packs in the same slot as the others in the fifth expansion means there’s a third fewer Manga cards from each OP-05 variant as other similar releases; his price follows accordingly.

19) Tony Tony Chopper Parallel Alt-Art ⁠(Manga Rare)

This Chopper card sells for around $747. As the Manga rare in the Memorial Collection set (the first Extra Booster expansion released for the game) this Chopper card is a bit more common than other similar chase cards. That is then balanced by the fact the Straw Hat doctor is immensely popular and has become the series mascot over the years.

18) Trafalgar Law Parallel Alt-Art (Manga Rare)

This Law card sells for around $783. Law is perhaps one of the most popular non-Straw Hat characters in the entire One Piece franchise, which has helped his Manga variant (which appeared alongside Luffy and Kid versions in Awakening) to a very nice pricetag.

17) Borsalino OP-02 (Championship 2023)

This Borsalino card sells for around $789. The first of the Three Admirals to appear here (Kuzan and Sakazuki come later), this Borsalino card was only available for high-ranking players who competed in the 2023 One Piece Card Game Championships. His lower popularity among the Navy’s top fighters sees his card sit a little lower than the others, though many collectors have been looking to buy all three to complete the set anyway.

16) Koby OP-02 (Offline Regional 2023 Winner)

This Koby card sells for around $610. This may be a surprise, seeing Koby so high in the rankings, but a surge in the Offline Regional Winner card’s price has bumped it right into the middle of the most expensive cards in the TCG. The price dipped from over $1,000 to around $600 as more winners packs were opened, but Koby’s role as a Navy-sided deuteragonist in One Piece means he does have a relatively huge fanbase interested in any rare versions.

15) Portgas D. Ace Parallel Alt-Art (Manga Rare)

This Ace card sells for around $843. Luffy’s older brother still boasts one of the rarest and most expensive One Piece Manga cards, with a recent spike hiking its value more than $300.

14) Queen ST-04 (Treasure Cup)

This Queen card sells for around $1,001. While Queen doesn’t boast a huge following like other characters on this rankings list, the value of an event-tied reward card cannot be overstated. Only one has been sold in the last three months (at the time of writing) and across the lifespan of the card since its September 2023 release only five have ever hit TCGPlayer listings.

13) Kuzan OP-02 (Championship 2023)

This Kuzan card sells for around $1,092. Kuzan’s Championship card spiked early to become the most expensive Marine Admiral on the market. Some originally predicted this surge would continue toward $2,000 but Kuzan’s prestige release instead held steady around its $1,100 mark and Sakazuki eventually overcame the frosty ex-Marine⁠—just like in the manga.

12) Monkey D. Garp (Treasure Cup)

This Garp card sells for around $1,125. Luffy’s grandfather just had one of his finest hour’s in the One Piece anime during the Egghead arc, and now he’s enjoying the Treasure Cup spotlight. The event stamp and Garp’s cool artwork both help this card shine.

11) Marco OP-03 (Championship 2023)

This Marco card sells for around $1,143. This gold-trimmed Marco card stands as one of the only Whitebeard Pirates to make the value list (behind Ace a little lower down) but considering just how incredible the Phoenix’s art is here and how well it blends with the gold, the $1,000 price makes sense.

10) Oda-Signed Monkey D. Luffy Parallel Alt-Art (Signature Rare)

This Oda-signed Luffy card sells for around $1,444. With how unique this card is and the fact that it’s tied directly to the One Piece creator and writer himself, the 1st Anniversary special edition card should only climb in value into the future. There’s also a base version of this Luffy card without the signature that sells for around $10, but that’s not nearly as cool, right?

9) Roronoa Zoro ST-01 (Treasure Cup)

This Zoro card sells for around $1,490. This is a personal favorite of mine just because of how simple and cool the artwork is. Zoro wielded Shusui from Thriller Bark to Wano Country⁠—fifteen years in real-time across the anime⁠—so it’s a special image for fans.

8) Monkey D. Luffy OP-01 Super Pre-Release Promo

This Luffy card sells for around $1,595. Maybe more than any other card on this list, Luffy’s Super Pre-Release Promo is a very interesting slice of One Piece history. You could only get this card for winning an OP01 prerelease back when the game was in its fledgling weeks, meaning many who are now playing and collecting didn’t even realize One Piece had a card game at that time. That are plenty of copies floating around but its place at the start of the entire card series keeps its price quite lofty.

Things have only gone up for the One Piece Super Pre-Release promo too; this Luffy card has jumped from its $943 price since the last time we updated things.

7) Sakazuki OP-02 (Championship 2023)

This Sakazuki card sells for around $1,600. The now-Fleet Admiral of the Navy easily fetches four digits for his incredible gold-trimmed Championship card that could have been won through to December 2023.

6) Shanks Parallel Alt-Art (Manga Rare)

This Shanks card sells for around $1,787. Until Luffy’s Manga card arrived in Awakening of the New Era, the Shanks Manga variant reigned above all others. It is still quite pricey but has since come down from its high watermark of around $2,000. As more and more Romance Dawn packs are taken off the market, this may continue to climb again, and quickly.

5) Edward Newgate OP-02 (Championship 2023)

This Whitebeard card sells for around $1,930. The Strongest Man in the World is a very popular One Piece character, driving this near-$2,000 price, while the card’s limited pool—only Regional winners in 2023 were given any—is another key factor in its climbing value.

4) Charlotte Linlin OP-03 (Championship 2024)

This Big Mom card sells for around $2,904. Not only is it a competitively-viable card, but there’s relatively few around because only Regional winners in the 2024 One Piece season were awarded the Yellow character parallel. Though hype is very high now, it should eventually settled around Whitebeard’s Championship variant price-wise (above).

3) Monkey D. Luffy Parallel Alt-Art (Manga Rare)

This Luffy card sells for around $3,299. Luffy in his iconic Gear Five pose is the biggest selling point here, and what a selling point it is. The card, released as a Manga variant in Awakening of the New Era, also has far lower pack rates because it appears alongside Trafalgar Law and Eustass Kid Manga cards, making it even rarer again.

2) Roronoa Zoro OP-01 (Treasure Cup)

This Zoro cards sells for around $4,899. Zoro’s most expensive card combines awesome art, scarcity because it’s a reward card, and then just how popular the Straw Hat vice-captain is. This particular version comes with championship-branded gold trim too, making it even more of a collector’s piece. Since distribution ended, Zoro’s Treasure Cup alt-art card has already climbed more than $2,000 and will likely keep building value too.

1) Monkey D. Luffy Serial Number Promo

This Luffy cards sells for around $7,839, and it’s truly the big one. Luffy’s serialized cards⁠—numbered up to 700⁠—were always going to carry a hefty price tag considering he’s the One Piece main character and it was one of the first very limited-edition releases in the card game. This card’s price has slowly been climbing ever since all versions were distributed.

Honorable mentions

There’s many more One Piece cards each worth a pretty penny that haven’t made the list, including several older Manga Rares for Emperor of the Sea Boa Hancock, Straw Hat crew member Sogeking, and Luffy’s older brother Sabo.
