The Lasso Man may be the urban legend in the Lethal Company community, but what exactly is this monster? Is Lasso Man something to be afraid of, or is it simply a Lethal Company myth?

Lethal Company – What is Lasso Man?
The Lasso Man in Lethal Company remains an unfinished entity created by developer Zeekerss. First appearing in December 2023, Lasso Man is a humanoid figure with a single coiled red rope, thus coining its name by the Lethal Company community. With similar behavioral patterns to Ghost Girl and the Barber, Lasso Man chases employees around but cannot kill. Instead, its purpose is purely to terrify you, increase paranoia, and cause visual distortion (the same visual effect when you see a dead employee).
Lasso Man reminds me of SCP 372—a monster that only appears in the corner of your eye. It stalks its victims and jump-scares them but doesn’t kill them. While the Lasso Man cannot kill, its presence is enough to jump-scare and cause panic. Whether Lasso Man will be added into a future update, with its sole function to scare (not kill) the employees is down to Zeekerss.
Where to find Lasso Man in Lethal Company
As it’s unfinished content, you cannot encounter the Lasso Man in the base game of Lethal Company. Instead, you need to download the Brutal Company mod. The Lasso Man can appear in the “Lasso Man is real” event.
With no sign of Lasso Man as of v55, it is uncertain whether this entity will join Lethal Company’s long Bestiary. Only visible in Brutal Company, this indoor monster may be scrapped from the base game, but its character model remained within the game files to haunt those who dare enter modded Lethal Company. Alternatively, Lasso Man could be added to the game in a future update. But with the Old Bird, Butcher, Butler, Tulip Snakes, and Kidnapper Fox joining in on the fun, it’s looking less likely that Lasso Man will become a fully fleshed-out entity of the Facility.
