Apex season two details were revealed yesterday as part of the latest earnings call for publisher EA via IGN.

“We’re now very focused on delivering for this massive global community with a long-term live service, including new seasons with more robust Battle Pass content, new legends, and exciting evolutions to the in-game environment,” EA CEO Andrew Wilson said in the earnings call.

Apex’s second season is set to launch before the end of the current financial quarter, which ends June 30. Because of this, it’s likely that we will get a release date for season two at the EA Play conference on June 7, too. It was also during the earnings call that EA revealed it is in “advanced negotiations” to bring Apex to the Chinese market.

Lastly, it also plans on releasing a mobile version of the battle royale game. It’s likely that this version is planned for China, too. Players haven’t been happy with the amount of content in Apex’s first season. This has directly affected the game’s performance, too, seeing a sharp dip in Twitch viewership since its launch.

Another recent Apex blog post addressed season two, noting some of the similar points that Wilson touched on during the earnings call. There is one detail missing, though, and that was the blog post mentioning that players shouldn’t expect the map of Kings Canyon to remain the same.

This hints that we will at least see significant changes to the overall map, in addition to the expected new legends, cosmetics, and more.
