Each new season in Apex Legends brings new ways to enjoy the game. From fresh maps to character introductions, powerful guns, and more, there’s always something to look forward to at the start of every season.
Seasons last roughly three months, so whether you’re looking to end the ranked season on a high note or simply complete your battle pass, it’s imperative you know exactly when one season ends.
The most recent season, called Shockwave, kicked off on Aug. 6. While Shockwave didn’t bring a new legend to the Apex Games, we got a new map called E-District, akimbo weapons, and a new class perk for Controller legends. It wasn’t all fun and games, though. Respawn Entertainment also changed how the battle pass works this season, removing players’ ability to purchase it using Apex Coins accumulated from the previous pass. For more information on everything Shockwave has to offer, read up on the season 22 patch notes.

How long is season 22 of Apex Legends?
According to the in-game battle pass counter, Apex’s season 22 is expected to last 84 days and end on Oct. 22. This gives Apex players around three months to complete the battle pass and unlock all the rewards on offers.
This time around, however, the season is being divided into splits. If Apex players complete a series of challenges before the split ends, they’ll receive the premium battle pass for free. The first split of the season 22 battle pass is expected to end on Sept. 17. Once the split ends, a new one will take its place, introducing a new set of challenges for players.
Like previous seasons, season 23 will immediately start once Shockwave wraps up on Oct. 22. Keep an eye on the Apex YouTube channel in the days leading up to season 22’s end for more information on the upcoming season.
