Wuthering Waves Version 1.2 character tier list
S-Tier Wuthering Waves characters
- Verina – She’s the best support in Wuthering Waves. Verina provides massive damage buffs and heals the entire team, and even better, you can claim her for free.
- Jinshi – She’s currently the strongest DPS Resonator who’s able to dish out big Spectro damage with her Resonance Skill and Liberation.
- Zhezhi – If you’re looking for a powerful and flexible sub-DPS, Zhezhi gets the job done with her big buffs and fantastic Glacio damage amplification.
- Jiyan – Besides being a great DPS in single-target and AoE scenarios, he also provides a bit of crowd control and is beginner-friendly thanks to his Resonance Liberation that makes parrying easier.
- Changli – She’s an amazing damage dealer who can work as both DPS and sub-DPS, and she deals a ton of Fusion damage.
- Yinlin – As one of the best sub-DPS characters, not only does Yinlin deal big damage with her coordinated Electro attacks, but she also increases Resonance Liberation and Electro damage of other units.
A-Tier Wuthering Waves characters
- Mortefi – He’s easily the best four-star Resonator who fits a lot of teams, and thanks to his big off-field Fusion damage, his value as a four-star unit is unmatched.
- Encore – While not as strong as Jinshi or Jiyan, Encore still deals a decent amount of Fusion damage, and is a standard five-star you can obtain her for free.
- Baizhi – She’s basically a four-star Glacio Verina who provides big heals for the entire team and gives a big attack boost for the on-field carry.
- Calcharo – The notorious phantom hunter is a great Electro main DPS with a fun playstyle, who’s capable of dishing out massive AoE damage.
- Sanhua – Even as a Glacio four-star, Sanhua is one of the best sub-DPS units that deals great damage and provides Basic Attack buffs.
- Danjin – If you don’t have a five-star DPS, Danjin is a splendid four-star alternative because she can dish out a huge amount of Havoc damage to all opponents.
B-Tier Wuthering Waves characters
- Havoc Rover – As a main character who’s completely free, this version of Rover is the best because of his great damage potential that comes from his both Resonance Liberation and Basic Attacks.
- Jianxin – Thanks to her utility, Jianxin can shield, deal damage, and group up opponents, which makes her a jack-of-all-trades, and a valuable standard Aero five-star character.
- Yuanwu – As a four-star sub-DPS, Yuanwu is similar to Mortefi, he deals off-field Electro damage, but he only works with other Electro characters.
- Aalto – A decent four-star Aero sub-DPS who can deal a bit of damage, but also provide buffs to another Aero carry.
C-Tier Wuthering Waves characters
- Yangyang – She’s one of the first four-star Resonators, and while Yangyang is a sub-DPS with a bit of crowd control, her damage is simply lackluster.
- Spectro Rover – Unlike his Havoc version, Spectro Rover provides utility for his team, but is outclassed by other utility damage dealers.
- Chixia – She’s a four-star DPS with big mobility but average damage, and she only excels in single-target scenarios.
- Taoqi – While she can definitely work in Jinhsi teams, Taoqi still faces her biggest problem of the split scaling between her Shields and Forte, which makes her hard to build and use.
- Lingyang – He’s one of the standard five-star Resonators you can obtain for free, but he pales in comparison to everyone else. As a Glacio main DPS, he’s very clunky to play, and because of his broken kit, Lingyang is arguably one of the worst characters to have.
