If you’ve been looking for a new VALORANT agent to completely lock down a site, meet the newest sentinel added to the tactical shooter’s roster: Vyse.

Vyse is the sixth sentinel added to the Riot Games shooter and is a defensive-minded VALORANT agent with several abilities that can completely shut down opposing teams as they rush on site. She can also separate enemies from their teammates, trap them for an easy kill, or disarm them completely with a press of a button.

Vyse is intelligent and cunning on the battlefield and can dissuade a team from attacking her site. For example, her C ability Razorvine sets a trap on the floor that, when activated, spreads a large carpet of thorny vines that slows and damages any enemies that walk through.

Her E ability, Arc Rose, is a placeable trap that can be activated to flash any enemies in its radius, which is a great way to surprise VALORANT foes who have managed to jump onto the site. Her Shear (Q) trap is a unique ability that can completely separate a team. When placed, the trap waits until a player crosses its threshold, and after a quick moment, an unbreakable—but temporary—wall pops up where the trap was set. This will allow Vyse’s team to isolate enemy players for better duels while also blocking them from any retreat.

Finally, Vyse’s ultimate ability is a game-changer; it can completely disarm her enemies. When she activates her ultimate, a large area on the ground in front of her is covered with a vine-like graphic, marked where enemies can be affected by the ability. After a four-second windup, any enemies that are caught in this area of effect will have their primary weapon disabled for about 10 seconds. It will jam whenever they fire their primary weapon, forcing them to either wait out the effect or switch to their secondary weapon.

This ultimate can be combined with other ultimates, like Harbor’s, as it can render a defense nullified with a stun and a disarm. They’d have to run out of both of their radii, which are similarly huge, allowing Vyse’s team to take a ton of space on-site. All in all, if Vyse has trapped you and your teammates, prepare for a grueling fight for your lives.
