Everything included in The First Descendant Update 1.0.5

Ultimate Valby

Update 1.0.5 adds a new Ultimate Descendant—everyone’s beloved Valby. She comes with two exclusive Modification Modules: Spiral Tidal Wave and Hydro Pressure Bomb.

Spiral Tidal Wave replaces Bubble Bullet with a straight projectile you can fire three times in a row, and it attracts impurities in the new Void Intercept Battle, Gluttony. Hydro Pressure Bomb replaces Plop Plop with a leap that deals damage in the landing area depending on how many enemies are in the Laundry state.

To get Ultimate Valby, you need Amorphous Materials 011, 044, 115, 030, 055, 113, 023, 052, 073, 087, 110, and 125. All of these have been updated to include research materials for Ultimate Valby. If you have an older version of the Amorphous Material, you can still open it, but to get Ultimate Valby, you must farm the new ones.

We also got a sneak peek at Ultimate Valby’s skins, which include a classic Ultimate black and gold outfit and an evil-looking black and red suit.

Luna

Alongside Ultimate Valby, The First Descendant gets a new playable character, Luna. We already met Luna during the main story. She’s all about music and uses it to buff nearby allies.

Using her skills fills up the Inspiration Gauge, granting you enhanced skills. The Stage Presence skill changes Luna’s weapon to her Unique Weapon, and performing notes by using skills or hitting enemies in time to the music increases her Skill Power Modifier.

Passionate Stage skill buffs Luna’s and allies’ Skill Power Modifier (enhanced skill increases the effect and buffs Skill Critical Hit Rate and damage of allies), Relaxing Act skill recovers Luna’s and allies’ MP (enhanced skill increases the effect and reduces Skill Cost), and Delightful Stage skill increases Inspiration Gauge and decreases the skill cooldown of allies (enhanced skill increases the effect).

To unlock Luna, you have to farm the updated variants of Amorphous Materials 017, 038, 081, 020, 098, 068, 015, 049, 071, 027, 090, and 094. Luna also comes with her exclusive Modification Modules that can turn her into a damage dealer and new cosmetics, including a pool party skin.

Gluttony

Gluttony is a new Hard Void Intercept Battle you can play to get the Hungry Sonic External Component Set and the blueprint for the Peace Maker Ultimate Weapon.

The two-piece set of the Hungry Sonic External Component Set grants Toxin Resistance. The four-piece set recovers MP on hitting the target with a skill’s Unique Weapon and increases Skill Duration and MP Heal Modifier depending on Max MP.

Peace Maker

Peace Maker is a new Ultimate hand cannon you can farm from the Gluttony boss. It comes with a Unique Ability that grants the Single Reload for Peace effect when using a Dimension skill. At maximum stacks of the effect, you can fire the entire magazine in one quick burst.

These are the biggest additions coming to The First Descendant in Update 1.0.5. There’s also a new Module that focuses on Non-Attribute ATK, new cosmetics, UI improvements, and various balance changes, including a buff to Valby’s AoE and Enduring Legacy’s Critical Hit Damage. Read the official patch notes for the full list of changes.
