Here are The First Descendant patch notes for Hotfix 1.0.1

We’ve hit the first weekend since the release of Nexon’s looter shooter The First Descendant, and with it, our first main hotfix and patch notes for the game. Hotfix 1.0.1 is aimed specifically at server stability and bug fixes, but there are a few important updates included in the June 5 patch.

For those The First Descendant players who got to play early in the game’s betas, your early access rewards have now been distributed and can be acquired from the Mailbox in Albion. If you didn’t participate in a beta session, don’t worry: These rewards will be available later for all players via other methods.

Server stability was the focus of today’s hotfix after a bumpy first couple of days following the game’s official launch this week, and the fixes come just in time given the weekend has arrived. Here’s hoping players don’t experience many more issues with the shooter server-wise.

In terms of gameplay, knockback and knockdown recovery effects have been sped up a touch, and frustrating boss Eterllick won’t be spamming out his immunity shield more than once per phase. Otherwise, it is a bevy of bug fixes for The First Descendant across both PC and console.

Platform and system

  • The Nexon logo sound volume was too high when launching the game.
  • Server and client stabilization fixes have been carried out.
  • Removed unintended factors that were degrading performance on PS5.
  • Fixed a console issue where FSR Upscale was malfunctioning.

Content improvements

  • Knockback and knockdown recovery times have been sped up by 50 percent.
  • The maximum usage of the Eterllick shield skill per phase has been reduced from two times to one time.

Bug fixes

  • UI
    • Fixed the back button not working after closing the capacity exceeded popup in the module enhancement UI.
  • Descendant
    • Fixed an Xbox issue where the heads of other players wearing skins would intermittently not display.
  • Module
    • Fixed the issue where the Skill Power Modifier number was not applied correctly after level five enhancement of the Lethal Infection module.
    • Fixed the issue where the ultimate module drop animation was used when the normal High-Power Rounds Capacity Increase module was dropped.
  • Field
    • Object destruction animations now appear in the Strategic Outpost.
    • Names and descriptions of the NPC Dominique in the Hagios region are now displayed correctly.
  • Equipment
    • Guided Round of the Ultimate weapon Restored Relic now applies the “Ancient Fire” status effect.
    • Fixed the tooltip error for the Fire Skill Power of the ‘Active Volcano’ External Components two-set effect.
    • Fixed the tooltip error for the Weak Point Damage of the ‘Frozen Heart’ External Components four-set effect.
