The 14.16 B-patch is the first for Set 12, with the launch update running its full two-week duration without any changes. Many players and the TFT devs like Game design director Stephen “Mortdog” Mortimer are happy with the launch of Magic n’ Mayhem but feel “the balance has got to a spot where the first two patches had a big gap between the best comps and the rest.” The 14.16 B-patch seeks to close that gap with nerfs to traits like Portal, Augments like High Horsepower, and champions like Ahri and Fiora.

High Horsepower, Lillia’s Augment, was buffed through Patch 14.16 in conjunction with the TFT set 12 champion’s mana. The nerfs don’t revert the initial changes but tone the Augment’s power down. Rumble’s Augment and Flexible Emblems were also hit with nerfs.

  • Flexible Emblems: Reduced from the next three Stages to the next two Stages
  • High Horsepower: Bonus attack speed was reduced from 150 to 125 percent
  • High Horsepower: Ability damage reduced from 300 to 275 percent
  • Molten Caramel (Rumble): Ability damage reduced from 200 to 190 percent

14.16 B-patch TFT trait changes

Set 12 traits play a significant role when building an early-game comp, and Portal has been one of the most popular early-game builds. It allows players to cruise into a late-game comp and potentially a top-four placement. Riot also hit the Vanguard and Pyro traits with nerfs.

  • Portal: Base damage at breakpoint of three nerfed from 135 to 90
  • Pyro: Execute threshold reduced at breakpoint of five from 18 to 15 percent
  • Pyro: Attack speed at breakpoint of five reduced from 70 to 60 percent
  • Vanguard: Shield adjusted from 18/35/50 to 18/30/50 percent

14.16 B-patch TFT champion changes

Ahri was among the many TFT Set 12 champions buffed through Patch 14.16. The B-patch tones the true damage down a notch, along with her passive bonus damage. Fiora was hit with multiple nerfs to her damage. Nasus and Nilah were also adjusted.

  • Ahri: True damage nerfed from 100/150/230 to 90/135/210 percent
  • Ahri: Passive bonus ability power reduced from 30 to 15 percent
  • Fiora: Ability damage reduced from 180/180/360 AD to 160/160/360 percent AD
  • Fiora: Split damage changed to 320/320/700 percent AD plus 40/60/300 percent AP
  • Nasus: Ability damage reduced from 20 to 15 percent health
  • Nilah: Attack damage reduced from 55 to 50

The only other change applied through the 14.16 B-patch was the temporary removal of the Portal, Treasure Armory. All TFT Set 12 B-patch adjustments will go live on Aug. 20 at around 2pm CT.
