It has been confirmed and announced that Marvel Rivals will come to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

News of Marvel Rivals coming to PC first dropped alongside the reveal trailer on March 27, confirming Steam and the Epic Games Store will be the game’s only platforms at launch. The game’s first closed alpha test, in May 2024, was exclusively playable on Steam, leaving console players on the outside looking in.

But console players finally got the news they were waiting for at Sony’s State of Play showcase on May 30, with the announcement that Marvel Rivals was confirmed to be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as early as July with the next closed beta test. That closed beta will be available to players on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.

When is Marvel Rivals coming to PS5 or Xbox?

It’s extremely likely Marvel Rivals will support future console releases after the game’s initial PC launch. “The game’s first stop will be on Steam, however we’re actively exploring potential releases on other platforms,” the devs wrote in Marvel Rivals’ FAQ. While it’s possible for the game to fully release on all platforms, it’s more likely that the console version will come out later.
