Is LoL Swarm a permanent game mode?

One can only hope.

In Patch 14.14, League of Legends introduced a completely new experience—a PvE game mode called Swarm. It’s a bullet heaven mode in the world of League of Legends that’s quite different from what you’re used to, starting with controls and ending with the setting.

This game mode won’t last forever, though, so here’s everything you need to know about how much time you have left to play Swarm in League of Legends.

When does LoL Swarm end?

Swarm is a limited-time game mode, and according to the League of Legends Patch 14.14 notes, it runs from July 17 until Aug. 19. This gives you almost exactly one month to check out the new bullet heaven experience.

Here are the times for when Swarm will end in League of Legends:

  • 10am CT (3pm UTC) for EUW, EUN, RU, MEA and TR regions.
  • 1pm CT (6pm UTC) for all other regions.

Don’t wait until the very end to play Swarm, though. The game mode has multiple maps for you to clear on different difficulties and missions to complete, including missions for the new Anima Squad 2024 event pass.

In every run of Swarm, you choose a champion, level them up, build items, and complete side objectives on the map, all to survive long enough until the final boss appears. Every match of Swarm takes around 15 to 25 minutes, but don’t expect to clear everything on the first try.

These levels can be challenging even on the story difficulty. Make sure to choose the right champion, focus on building the right items for them, and always stay on the move to avoid getting swarmed by enemies in a corner.
