After a long wait, we finally know the release date and time of the second and final season of Arcane. Netflix revealed on Sept. 19 that Arcane‘s second season would launch in three Acts starting Nov. 9, and fans are barely able to contain their excitement.
This means that Arcane‘s second season would follow the same release structure as the first one, launching in three Acts containing three episodes each. Act One is slated to start things off on Nov. 9, with Acts Two and Three to follow on Nov. 16 and 23, respectively. Netflix also blessed us with the release times as well, with the show targeting 2am CDT, so be sure to set your clock. We also got to see a whole new two-minute trailer, this time featuring Vi as a brawler in the fighting pits looking mighty gnarly.
Over on social media, players have had nothing but overwhelmingly positive reactions to the news and the trailer. On Reddit, a thread praising Vi’s looks cropped up not long after the trailer dropped, saying it “didn’t have to go this hard.” Another said how Vi “looks incredible,” and I have to say that pit fighter Vi (hopefully a skin at some point) is perhaps her best iteration design-wise thus far.
Yet another user couldn’t wrap their head around Vi’s looks in one of the featured scenes, rightfully wondering how the animators made her “look hot yet ugly, cute yet dangerous, brave but scared and also invincible yet vulnerable?”
As noted, Arcane season two will drop globally on Nov. 9 with its three first episodes. The story will likely feature an all-out war between the many factions and characters, with Jinx rising up as the leader of a revolution following her bombastic closure in the first season.
