The release of Halo Infinite is just around the corner, and for the first time, the franchise will have a free-to-play multiplayer option, moving to the modern battle pass form of monetization popularized by games like Fortnite.
The first season of Halo Infinite‘s battle pass will last somewhere around three months, according to the game’s developers at 343 Industries, making seasons a sort of quarterly experience for players.
Additionally, developers have said players won’t progress through the “traditional” means of leveling up in a battle pass. That is to say, players will not get experience toward their battle pass by completing games. Instead, players will need to complete challenges to progress.
Though 343 has not yet officially announced information regarding the rewards players will get from participating in the battle pass, Reddit users obtained a leak over the fall that disclosed 120 “ranks” of the season one battle pass and all of the rewards associated with it.
As is the case with many battle passes, players can progress and earn a small amount of rewards without getting the paid version of the battle pass.
The wide array of rewards include items that are common, rare, epic, and even legendary, as well as a reroll currency.
The account that posted the original leak presented two different options for fans to check out everything the expansion Halo Infinite battle pass will offer. One image has a list of each item name. The other is in a perhaps more palatable graphic that includes images of some of the rewards players can expect to get.
