The Halo Infinite challenge system is a core part of how Spartans earn the experience necessary to level up battle passes through the season. There is also a different bonus to incentivize Halo players to complete weekly challenges: The Ultimate Reward.
Players who complete their challenges in any given week and then finish a final capstone challenge can earn a free piece of cosmetic loot. The free reward rotates every week, and only rarely do these cosmetics have the chance to return at a later date. If an Ultimate Reward catches your eye, it’s important to log on and get grinding before you miss the opportunity to add it to your collection.
Halo Infinite weekly Ultimate Reward (April 30, 2024)
This week’s Ultimate Reward in Halo Infinite is a currency bundle of 1000 Spartan Points.
Spartan Points are a new system added with the Banished Honor update, which allows players to purchase some premium cosmetics using a unique currency earnable through challenges. Since it’s the first week of this system’s implementation, the 1000 Spartan Points Ultimate Reward is no doubt designed to be an extra boon to make the Exchange store more immediately usable.
With Spartan Points, you can buy things like armor pieces and coatings while they’re on offer, so there’s no reason you shouldn’t grind out your weekly challenges to get this free headstart on your Spartan Point savings.
Halo has now entered what the devs call CU29, the first major update after the conclusion of the seasonal model. While several changes have popped up, like a greater focus on Operations, the Ultimate Reward system has stayed the same. There are still plenty of opportunities to earn cosmetics for free, provided you’re willing to put in the time.
In a change mainly designed around improving the battle pass, 343 updated Halo Infinite’s backend to allow single reward nodes to give out multiple bundled rewards. This was initially done to reduce some of the bloat in battle and event passes, but it also has ramifications for Ultimate Rewards. When you earn emblems or coatings here, they will also be for all cores, weapons, or emblem locations.
The weekly Ultimate Reward can be anything, ranging from weapon coatings and player stances to charms and new Spartan armor coatings. Developer 343 said before season two’s launch how it wanted Halo Infinite’s Ultimate Rewards to feel like a worthy prize, and the dev has made strides to make the rewards more regularly impactful each season over season with fewer emblems and backdrops, but more of the stuff players want.
During Operations, the weekly reward can also be themed around that event, whether that’s armor pieces or coatings specific to a core introduced through the Operation or just a weapon charm inspired by iconography from that event.
Complete all your weekly Halo Infinite challenges and the capstone challenge before the daily reset on Tuesdays at 1pm CT to acquire the Ultimate Rewards.
