In Frostpunk 2, your people need Goods for everyday life to keep the Crime level low. Unlike most resources, you can’t simply find a deposit of Goods and start extracting it, so here’s how to get Goods in Frostpunk 2.
How to get more Goods in Frostpunk 2
Build Industrial Districts
The main way to get Goods in Frostpunk 2 is from Industrial Districts. Select any free spot in your city and build the District. I recommend building them on the city’s edge as Industrial Districts generate Squalor when near Housing Districts and can affect your expansion.
Select the Industrial District and choose Goods in the Production section. Industrial Districts can produce Goods or Prefabs, so you can manage them depending on your needs. Each Industrial District produces 30 Goods per week at a base rate, but you can increase it with specific Laws.
Enact Laws to boost Goods production
In Frostpunk 2, there’s a Law for everything, including Goods production and demand. Using Laws, you can quickly boost Industrial Districts’ efficiency by almost 50 percent.
Here are some of the Laws that affect Goods:
- Mass-Produced Goods (Goods in the Survival tab)
- Heat Overclocking (Waste Heat Conversion in the Survival tab)
- Paid Essentials (Basic Necessities in the City tab)
Explore the Frostland
Although they’re much rarer, you can find Goods when exploring the Frostland. Use Frostland Teams to send expeditions into areas with Goods as a possible find, and you might stumble upon a forgotten landmark with a stash. Unfortunately for players, you can’t create a Goods colony or find an endless source of Goods, so your main source is still Industrial Districts.
