It’s that time of year again—the annual Moonfire Faire event is back in Final Fantasy XIV for 2024, bringing bombastic summer fun to Costa del Sol once again.

This time around, the event runs from Aug. 8 to 26, and brings back the fan-favorite jumping puzzle obstacle course from prior years. You can head on over to Limsa Lominsa and pick up the event quest from Mayaru Moyaru at the Aftcastle.

Players can take it easy for this year’s Moonfire Faire, as there is no special event fate or currency to farm for limited items that won’t hit the FFXIV online store until next year. The main event-exclusive reward is the Uchiwasshoi emote, which is earned by completing the first event quest, Fire Red, Beast Green.

The only other reward exclusive to this year’s event is the Bouncing Bomb Balloon, an indoor tabletop furnishing item. You can pick it up for 5,000 gil from the Moonfire Faire Vendor next to Haermaga.

All the other items you can purchase from the event vendor are:

  • Regional Tracer and Sparklers themed to all three city-states and Grand Companies
  • The Bombard Bloom and Pinwheel firecrackers.

While you don’t have to complete the second event quest—Festival Fan Frenzy—to get any of the rewards, it’s the only way to grab this year’s event achievement, Summer’s Biggest Fan.

Once you’re all done with the event, feel free to try out the obstacle course. There are no actual rewards for reaching the main end platform or the top of the tower, but both have incredible views and tons of decorations that make for great g-posing opportunities. If nothing else, it’s a fun way to kill time while queuing to farm your daily Tomestones of Heliometry bonuses or your weekly drops from the Arcadion raids
