With the arrival of Final Fantasy XIV‘s 7.05 patch, players are eagerly preparing for their trip down a series of Savage raids at the Arcadia. These are some of the toughest challenges awaiting players, but there’s also a new Tomestone, the Allagan Tomestones of Heliometry.

You can unlock these Tomestones as you progress through specific content. For anyone who wants to focus on new gear and equipment for the tougher encounters, we recommend unlocking them with your highest-level Final Fantasy XIV character. You’ll also want to focus on playing through specific activities to get your weekly Allagan Tomestones of Heliometry.

The activities you want to focus on should be similar to the ones you’ve done for the Allagan Tomestones of Aesthetics. These will be the Alliance Raids for the expansions up to Dawntrail, with many of the level 100 dungeons and raids for Dawntrail being your primary focus in FFXIV. You can earn them from your Duty Roulette each week.

However, you do have a limit on how much you can earn per week. You can only acquire 450 Allagan Tomestones of Heliometry every week, which limits the items you can acquire for your character. You’ll want to pick and choose what items will suit you best if you’re looking to reach the average gear level requirements for the Arcadia Savage raid encounter. How you spend your time is up to you, but it doesn’t hurt to work on the standard Arcadia grind to earn equipment that makes it easier for you to get item level 710.

After you reach the 450 limit for the Allagan Tomestones of Heliometry, you’ll have to wait until the weekly Tuesday reset. It happens at the same time, 2am CT, for all Final Fantasy XIV players. Following the reset, the limit returns to zero, and you can start the process again. You’ll want to repeat this until you’ve kitted your main character with all the gear they need, and you can choose to work on other Jobs at a later point.
