A new game mode has come to Dead by Daylight called 2v8, and it has introduced several gameplay changes. In it, two Killers face off against eight Survivors—and the Killers’ perks have swapped for skills to aid them in hunting down other players.
These skills differ from the typical perks you’ve expected to use as a Killer in Dead by Daylight. You can’t swap them out for other skills if you don’t like them. You’ll want to sync with your Killer partner, giving the two of you the best shot of taking down all eight Survivors before they can power up the generators and escape.
How all Killer skills work in Dead by Daylight 2v8 mode
Unlike the Survivors for the 2v8 mode in Dead by Daylight, your choice of Killer does matter. Each Killer has a diverse set of skills they use throughout the match. Some of these skills function alongside other Killers, and knowing how their synergy works can be vital to winning a match, especially when attempting to chase down eight Survivors. You need to select what class you want to play with your character, which determines their talents.
There are eight Killers you have to pick from in the 2v8 mode:
- The Trapper
- The Wraith
- The Hillbilly
- The Nurse
- The Huntress
- The Spirit
- The Deathslinger
- The Blight
Not every Killer was made available for this game mode in Dead by Daylight because these skills had to be hand-crafted and painfully readjusted by the Behaviour Interactive development team, but more could be on the way in the future.
All Killer Class Skills in Dead by Daylight 2v8 mode
All Killers have the same classes and skills associated with those choices. Here’s a full breakdown of what those skills are. Unfortunately for players, you cannot mix and match them, but two Killers can coordinate before their Dead by Daylight match to ensure they don’t have the same classes before starting the game.

The Team Skill increases the break action speed by 25% and your teammate gains 10% Haste for eight seconds if they are within 32 meters when you do this. The Reveal Skill is whenever you perform the damage generator action. Survivor auras are revealed if they are within eight meters. |
Enforcer | The Enforcer class comes a more aggressive Team Skill and a Reveal Skill. For the Team Skill, when you are chasing an injured Survivor, gain 3% haste. If a teammate hits a Survivor within 32 meters of you, the Survivor gets the Enforcer’s mark, and their aura is revealed to you for 12 seconds. When you down the Survivor, you consume the mark, and increases your teammate’s lunge attack by 60% for 15 seconds. The Reveal Skill is similar to the Brute, but instead of eight meters, it’s four. |
Fearmonger | The Fearmonger’s Team Skill and Reveal Skill are more about sticking to the shadows. The Team Skill gives you 5% haste while you are unseen by Survivors. When you put a Survivor in the injuried state and they are 16 meters from your teammate, your teammate gains 10% haste for 10 seconds. For the Reveal Skill, when a generator is fully repaired, the auras of Survivors who have not yet been sent to a Cage of Corruption are revealed for four seconds. |
Shadow | The Shadow class wants to stick close to their teammate to make the most of their Team Skill and Reveal Skills. The Team Skill gives you the Undetectable status while within 32 meters of your teammate, until you transfer it to them. You can transfer it to them by injuring the Survivor, and they get it for 12 seconds. For the Reveal Skill, whenever a teammate gives chase to a Survivor, their aura is revealed for four seconds. |
All Killer innate abilities in Dead by Daylight
Alongside these class abilities you choose before you start a map, each Killer has a special innate ability. They cannot swap out these abilities. Although these are similar to their powers of what you’d expect from a standard Dead by Daylight match, they are slightly different.

The Huntress | The Huntress’ Innate Skill allows you to start the trail with 10 Hatches. When you’re about to throw a Hatchet, this skill increases your movement speed by 4.5% while you have them out, decreases the reload speed by 20%, and increases your movement speed during the wind-up by 5%. |
The Nurse | The Nurse gets a massive Innate Skill when using her Spencer’s Last Breath power. Her Innate Skill increases the duration of Blink Attack lunges by 30%, her reach goes up by 30% for her second blink, it decreases the Blink fatigue by 7%, her blink chains are reduced by 65%, her movement speed during chain blinks goes up by 30%, her duration of the Blink chain window goes up by 0.2 seconds, and it decreases the fatigue she had when she missed her special attacks by 0.5 seconds. |
The Spirit | The Spirit’s Innate Skill increases the amount of time she can use her power, Yamaoka’s Haunting. The duration of Yamaoka’s Haunting goes up by three seconds, the cooldown recharge goes down by 0.33 per charge, and the phase-walk movement The Spirit has while using Yamaoka’s Haunting has a multiplier of 0.2. |
The Trapper | The Trapper’s Innate Skill gives him access to more bear traps. He now starts the trial with four bear traps, and he carry four more throughout a match. When a trial starts, there are eight bear traps on the ground. The Trapper can now not be caught by his traps. Your teammate can see the aura of these traps. After The Trapper sets the trap, he receives a 15% Haste bonus; he can put it down 50% faster, and it takes 25% longer for Survivors to escape a bear trap. |
The Wraith | The Wraith’s Innate Skill makes it easier to enter and leave their cloak. It takes 22% less time to uncloak and enter the Wailing Bell ability, becoming invisible. While they are cloaked, they have a 9% movement speed bonus, and they can destroy generators, vault, and destroy pallets 60% faster while cloaked. |
