Black Myth: Wukong has several crafting materials for you to track down to upgrade your growing arsenal. These materials can be difficult to find as they tend to drop from enemies, or they can be found in particular spots. Silk is one of the more challenging resources to find.

You can begin finding Silk as you progress into the first chapter of Black Myth: Wukong. The exact way you get it requires some patience, but if you can bypass the headache of trying to track it down, Silk is a helpful resource for crafting hefty armor. Here’s what you need to know about where to get Silk in Black Myth: Wukong.

Silk is a rare resource that does not drop from standard enemies in Black Myth: Wukong. Instead, you need to defeat difficult bosses and challenge them if you want to earn Silk and gather this resource to craft some of the better early-game armor, the Bronze set. Silk is difficult to find in the first chapter, at least. When you leave the first chapter area and begin exploring beyond there, Silk becomes much easier to find as you fight against more challenging enemies.

For those in the first chapter, the best way to get more Silk is to focus on getting to the end and battling against Black Bear Guai. Defeating him rewards at least two Silk. You can also get two Silk by defeating the Elder Jinchi, who you can unlock by ringing the three Bells in Black Myth: Wukong.

Once you’re in the second chapter, tracking down Silk will become much easier. I was able to locate it from the more difficult enemies, such as the Rat Governor, the rat-like enemy with a staff that channeled lightning-based magical attacks. It only dropped one piece of Silk, but it’s more reliable than the enemies in the initial area of the game.

If you’re struggling to find Silk, the best way to track it down is to progress through Black Myth: Wukong, challenge the more difficult enemies, and defeat them. You can find the Rat Governor early on in chapter two. When you find a Shrine, you can use this relocation to reset the Rat Governor and keep defeating them for a chance at more Silk, unlocking the rest of the Bronze armor set.
