Apex Legends has quickly become one of the most popular games in the world, despite not being available in China. But that could change soon, according to a report by the South China Morning Post.
Tencent Holdings is reportedly “in talks” with Electronic Arts to make Apex available in China. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Fortnite are also both playable in China—so a deal to bring Apex to the country would help it compete with the other battle royale games for players.

This report hasn’t been confirmed by Respawn Entertainment, however. Although it’s unclear if (or when) Apex is heading to China, it would certainly make sense as a next step for the popular game.
Apex was released on Feb. 4 and it has already become a smash-hit battle royale title. Millions of players have already hopped on the hype train—and it’s safe to assume that Chinese video game enthusiasts would love to try out Apex, too.
