While VALORANT’s alluring cosmetics don’t play any advantageous role in competitive gameplay, weapon skins have remained an inevitable part of the popular tactical shooter.
Recommended Videos
In addition to the heftily priced weapon bundles that Riot Games launches for the store occasionally, players can collect basic yet intriguing skin collections through the comparatively cheaper battle passes. They can also earn XP to unlock skins belonging to Agent Contracts for free.
Upgradable skins, especially of the exclusive or ultra kind, feature rates on the higher end and can easily burn a hole in the buyer’s pocket. Players, however, have an undying obsession with VALORANT’s purchasable gun and melee skins due to the exceptional look and feel they bring to the table.
Below is a tier list featuring all weapon bundles, battle pass skin collections, legacy skins, and individual Agent Contract skins available in VALORANT.Â
Best and worst VALORANT skins
S-tier
Weapon skins eligible for this tier feel beyond great due to their exhilarating animation and sound effects. Battle pass and Agent Contract skins are not a part of our S-tier list.
Most S-tier skins in VALORANT belong to exclusive or ultra skin collections—gun skins belonging to these kinds are priced above 2,175 VALORANT Points (VP), while melee skins are priced at a minimum of 4,350 VP. Some premium bundles, however, offer S-tier eligible weapon skins too.

A-tier
The A-tier holds some of the most iconic skin collections in VALORANT and isn’t much of a downgrade to the S-tier. But these skins suffer slightly in popularity’s terms due to their strong themes and divisive designs. Nevertheless, these collections are, in no way, inferior to the ones mentioned under the tier of excellence.

B-tier
Like the A-tier, this level holds popular skin collections from VALORANT’s diverse cosmetic timeline. But these aren’t Riot’s best offerings so far, with many not preferring the aesthetics and animation. Regardless, a considerable part of the community can be seen yielding these skins to satisfy their unique liking.
A few B-tier collections feature non-upgradable skins, making them unattractive to most of the community. Some players, however, prefer using minimally designed elegant skins anyway.

C-tier
This is where the quality falls, with mere non-upgradable skins showing up. Most players would hesitate to pay for these cosmetics, even though a few C-tier skins feature designs and interactions that may appeal to some players (See Tethered Realms or Black.Market).

D-tier
While these skins may not be as great as the C or B-tier skins, they are still one step above the F-tier skins and have at least some qualities to them—just not enough to make them worth putting on most weapons.

F-tier
Skins that only a mother could love, F-tier skins are the worst of the worst in VALORANT. Whether it’s because they lack the necessary flair or because the color combinations miss the mark, it doesn’t matter. Either way, these skins leave a lot to be desired.
