The Bazaar’s closed beta is officially here, but the game hasn’t been without problems. Server outages and connection errors have been rampant.
Live-service games are always subject to server issues, and the risk is higher when the devs make changes to the live version of the game. As you can probably imagine, playing a closed beta test has a high risk of server outages.
Below, you can find all you need to know about whether The Bazaar servers are actually down and how to check for yourself.
Is The Bazaar down?
The Bazaar is officially up, but players have reported a connection issue.
Outages occur almost daily. They are usually brief and happen for maintenance purposes. After all, the game is still in closed beta, and the developers are making balance adjustments based on player feedback. The servers are also often unstable after patches.
If you encounter a “Connection issue,” like in the image below, it doesn’t necessarily mean there is something wrong with the servers. You might just have to try again.
How to check if The Bazaar servers are down
At least for the closed beta limited release, The Bazaar does not have an official status page. The game is also not on DownDetector yet.
But you can check two official sources for this kind of information. The team updates and monitors both regularly, so an outage or maintenance notice will be there first.
First is the game’s Twitter/X account. The team goes by the handle @playthebazaar, and they let players know in real-time when there is a known issue or servers are down. If you want to keep up, we recommend following this page.
Second is the official Discord server. You can find them by looking up “playthebazaar” or simply clicking this link. Because the Discord server is the main community tool, this is where players and developers gather to discuss builds, strategies, bugs, and outages. You will likely know firsthand when the servers are down.
