New London can’t survive without Oil, and one of the first objectives in Frostpunk 2‘s story mode is transferring Oil from the colony to the city.
At this point, you should’ve already found a permanent source of fuel at the Old Dreadnaught and established a colony there. Once you do that, your next objective is to transfer at least 75 Oil Output to New London.
The job requires a little preparation, so here’s everything you need to know about transferring Oil Output in Chapter One of the Frostpunk 2 story.
How to transfer Oil Output in Frostpunk 2
To complete the objective, ensure the Old Dreadnaught colony has a surplus of 75 Oil or more. Frostbreak to the Oil deposits, build Extraction Districts and expand them to increase the output. Two expanded Extraction Districts should be enough to support the colony and complete the mission.
Feel free to use Emergency Shifts in the Extraction Districts to boost Oil production. The colony doesn’t require much care when it comes to Trust and Tension, so the Emergency Shifts barely affect the gameplay.
When you have enough Oil Output at the Old Dreadnaught, click on the colony icon in the top right corner and select Resource Transfer. Move the Oil slider towards New London until at least 75 Oil is moving to the city. Confirm the transfer to complete the mission.
From now on, New London has increased Oil Output, but you can always send more resources from the Old Dreadnaught. Keep investing in the colony, like researching and building Deep Melting Drills, and increase the amount of Oil moving to New London accordingly. When you hit the maximum output transfer cap of 250, transfer Oil from the Old Dreadnaught’s stockpile.
