As an optional fight, the Wandering Wight won’t require you to advance in Black Myth: Wukong. You can find it walking around in an open area shortly after unlocking the Golden Cicada form near several wolves. You can drop the Golden Cicada form to fight it or continue to advance through the main quest. You might want to drop a few points into your Dodging skill before challenging the Wandering Wight to make this encounter easier in Black Myth: Wukong.

The Wandering Wight has several large AoE attacks it can unleash against you. One occurs when it smashes its hand into the ground, channeling energy into it. The radius of the attack slowly gets larger. You’ll want to get out as far from it as possible, wait, and then allow the ground to erupt before advancing. But, shortly after this attack, it unleashes a ranged one. You can dodge the ranged attack, though.

Many of the Wandering Wight’s attacks have sweeping AoEs advancing toward you. These are dodgeable and a great way to hit it once or twice. You don’t want to use heavy attacks now, but light attacks are fine. The same goes for when the Wandering Wight smashes down into the ground. There’s a small AoE radius from the attack, but you can dodge out of the way to avoid taking any damage. It may finish a four-attack combo with a headbutt that deals a devastating amount of damage.

The Wandering Wight chains many of its smaller attacks with each other, draining your stamina. It’s a good idea to space out your dodges, reserving this action for the more brutal attacks, such as the ranged shockwave. You can see when the Wandering Wight is about to use it in Black Myth: Wukong when its hand begins to glow. The blast can be difficult to dodge, similar to the large AoE one. You’ll want to move to the left or right to get out of the way.

Using your Immobilize spell against the Wandering Wight is an excellent way to gain an advantage against it. You’ll get a few seconds to unleash several attacks and chip away at its health. Using the Heavy Attack and charging it would be a good idea as you can knock it down, opening the chance to make even more attacks against it in Black Myth: Wukong.

You might also be able to knock the Wandering Wight into the stone pillars surrounding the area you’re fighting in. These are a good way to knock it on its stomach, making it more difficult for the creature to stand back up in Black Myth: Wukong.
