As is very apparent from its name, Five Laps at Freddy’s promises an enigmatic and spooky kart racing twist to the iconic Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF) survival experience. Choose to be one of your favorite Fazbear characters as you compete against other players on 16 racing tracks designed based on locations from the FNAF lore.

If you have downloaded the free demo, which is available on Steam now, but aren’t sure if you can challenge your friends to a race on split screen, we have the answer you seek.

Unfortunately, at the time of writing, Five Laps at Freddy’s is only available in a single-player demo build. You can’t invite your friends to a racing challenge on a split screen and can only race solo.

That said, Clickteam promises to add a shared split screen PvP mode to Five Laps at Freddy’s when it fully launches in 2025, so you should eventually be able to race against your friends on the same screen. The game’s final build is expected to support up to four players on split screen.

In the demo build of Five Laps at Freddy’s, you are limited to eight Fazbear characters, three karts, three racing tracks, and a solo racing mode. It, however, lets you get a feel for most of the promised eerie features: racing through a Dayshift and Nightshift, an angry endoskeleton on the hunt, and several power-ups to help you win the run.
