It's always better with a friend.

Five Laps at Freddy’s is a new racing game that takes place in the iconic and infamous Five Nights at Freddy’s horror universe. Instead of braving another job on the night shift, you’ll race against iconic animatronics and use whatever it takes to get first place.

While racing games are certainly fun, nothing is better than competing against friends to see who has the best racing skills—or who’s the best murderous, life-size animal robot. While not everything has been released yet, let’s take a look at the multiplayer functionality of Five Laps at Freddy’s.

Can you play Five Laps at Freddy’s multiplayer?

Since Five Laps at Freddy’s is currently only available as a small gameplay demo, you can’t use any multiplayer features.

Luckily, the developers plan to include both remote play and shared split-screen features when the game fully launches in 2025. Remote play allows players to create multiplayer lobbies filled with their friends, so long as everyone already owns the game.

Alternatively, if just one person owns the game, you could get together in person with up to three other friends and use the planned split-screen feature. Since the game already supports both keyboards and controllers, you can use either if you plan to take the party into your living room.

Even though Five Laps at Freddy’s does not have multiplayer functionality just yet, the demo is free to play. If you plan on hosting your own races in the future, we recommend trying the demo and experiencing just a few of the features this horror and racing game has on offer.
