The Fortnite Loot Lake monitor is now showing the Tactical SMG, recognizing it as the fourth vaulted weapon. With its appearance, there are only two blank monitors left before players get the chance to bring an item back.

The six monitors at the Loot Lake research center have been lighting up one at a time over the last few days. Each monitor is showing or hinting at vaulted items from previous seasons. These include weapons, items, and even a vehicle. The first four monitors showed the X-4 Stormwing Plane, Bouncer, Drum Gun, and now the Tactical SMG.

Epic has yet to confirm what the purpose of these monitors is but the theory is that one of these items will be making a comeback. The community believes that once all six monitors are shown, players will enter the vault for the first time and vote on which item they want to see return to Battle Royale.

The item with the most votes will be selected and brought back. It’s unclear if this is a permanent return for the item or just temporary. Thanks to data mining, we already know what the two remaining vaulted items will be: the Grappler and the Infinity Blade. Data mining has been correct thus far, so it is likely these are true, too.

This isn’t the only strange event occurring on the island right now. The volcano is getting ready to erupt and five runes are the key to unlocking the hatch at Loot Lake.
