Palworld focuses on active combat mechanics rather than status conditions. But there are some ailments in the game that can keep Pals from operating at full capacity in your labor ca—err, base. For statuses like Overfull, you need to know how to cure them to avoid reduced performance.
Thankfully for players, Overfull is easy to cure in Palworld.
What is Overfull in Palworld?
Overfull can seemingly appear randomly in poor base conditions, with a Pal being listed as “insatiable,” according to the status. This means its hunger will decrease rapidly, and it will begin eating more while active in your base.
How to treat the Overfull status effect in Palworld
The Overfull status is one of the easier ones to treat since you only need a bit of general medicine to cure it from afflicted Pals. To fix Overfull in Palworld, you must use Low Grade Medical Supplies on your Pals, which can be found as Pal drops in the wild or easily crafted through a Medieval Medicine Workbench.
If you don’t want to craft Low Grade Medical Supplies, place the Pal in your Palbox. This can heal your Pals over time without using resources—though it also means you can’t have them work in your base for quite some time.
You might also find Low Grade Medical Supplies while exploring the overworld and by defeating specific Pals. If you want to try this method or haven’t unlocked the Medieval Medicine Workbench yet, you should try to hunt down Lifmunk, Flopie, and Vaelet. Since it appears early in the game, Lifmunk is the easiest to find and farm.
All Pals that drop Low Grade Medical Supplies in Palworld
Here are all the Pals in the Paldeck that drop Low Grade Medical Supplies:
- Lifmunk
- Flopie
- Vaelet
- Lyleen
- Lyleen Noct
How to craft Low Grade Medical Supplies in Palworld
If you’d rather not decrease the Lifmunk population just for medicine, you can also craft the supplies yourself. To make Low Grade Medical Supplies in Palworld, follow these steps:
- Level your character up to level 12 and unlock the Medieval Medicine Workbench from the Technology tree.
- Build a Medieval Medicine Workbench somewhere in your base using the following material: 30 Wood, five Nails, and 10 Paldium Fragments.
- Interact with the bench and choose Low Grade Medical Supplies. Craft it with the following ingredients
- Five Red Berries
- Two Horns, dropped by horned Pals like Eikthyrdeer or Incineram.
How to give your Pal Low Grade Medical Supplies
Once you have your Low Grade Medical Supplies in your inventory, feed them to the Pal with the Overfull ailment you’d like to treat.
You have a few different ways of doing so:
- Make sure every Pal assigned to your base has their bed. Pals without beds will get stressed, putting them at increased risk of falling ill. Fluffy Beds are the best option once you can craft them.
- If assigned to your base, approach the Pal and click the “Open Menu” key. Select “Feed” and choose the medicine.
- With your Pal on your team, summon it from its Pal Sphere. Open the Command menu (default “4” on PC) and choose “Feed.” Then, select the Low Grade Medical Supplies, as shown in the video below.
How to prevent the Overfull status effect in Palworld
Like other ailments, the Overfull effect can be prevented if you keep your Pals happy. You can prevent your Pals from stress-eating in several ways:
- Make sure every Pal assigned to your base has their bed. Pals without beds will get stressed, putting them at increased risk of falling ill. Fluffy Beds are the best option once you can craft them.
- Build your Pals a Hot Spring to prevent their Sanity stat from dropping.
- Keep your Feed Box stocked with food so your Pals never go hungry. You can automate this process using food farms and Pals that can transport items.
- Consider adding Pals to your base with the Positive Thinker trait. This will cause your active Pals’ Sanity to drop 10 percent slower.
There are other statuses like Depressed, Weakened, and Fracture that can be equally annoying to deal with, since they all have different methods to treat and cure them.
