During her adventure, Zelda will be able to travel to familiar Hyrule locations like the Gerudo Desert and Kakariko Village. Each of these locations is filled with side quests the player can take on, and you can reach these locals by waypoints scattered around the world or with a steed you can summon with the help of Zelda’s echo abilities. The trailer also went in-depth with Zelda’s echoes, revealing two new ways they can be used to solve puzzles and defeat enemies.

The first was the Bind ability, which allows Zelda to make objects move as she moves. This means Zelda can move large objects she can’t transform into echoes, or stop enemies in their tracks before they attack. The second was Reverse Bond, which allows Zelda to follow another object’s movement instead. This ability seems most useful for platforming, giving Zelda the ability to reach places she normally couldn’t thanks to the ability to latch on to objects and enemies to move quickly around the map.

Outside of these new abilities, it was also revealed that Zelda can make smoothies by combining various ingredients found throughout the world in order to boost her stats, as well as swap her outfits to gain different buffs depending on the situation. These stat-boosting meals and clothes, as well as the magic abilities, are meant to emphasize creativity the same ways that other recent Zelda titles like Tears of the Kingdom did by giving players multiple options to overcome obstacles, no matter how silly or game breaking they might be.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will be released on Sept. 26.
