The new WoW expansion, The War Within (TWW), has recaptured my love for the game. From the addition of Delves to the Warband system, the gameplay is worth the time invested. But nothing is perfect, and glitches exist, especially during the early access period and the official launch of TWW. An annoying glitch exists through the Retaking the Mines campaign quest in The Rigging Deeps, where if you move in the wrong direction, it will cost you.

Opening a gate seems simple enough until you open it and walk in. My first attempt at the quest had me do just that, and I walked through the portal into the Lost Mines. But at level 73, I wasn’t supposed to be in there yet. The enemies instantly killed my character, damaging my armor and my pride.

Tip: lOCATION OF rETAKING THE mINES QUESt

The location of the Lost Mines in The Rigging Deeps is 59.58, 21.72

To properly complete the Retaking the Mines quest in TWW, open the gate and step backward around 10 paces. An NPC with candles on his back will walk out of the open gate and spawn an Elemental made of fire that you will need to defeat. After defeating the elemental, the quest is complete. And there is no need at this time to enter the mines.

What is The Rigging Deep in WoW The War Within?

The Rigging Deep in TWW is the second zone of four. As you progress through the WoW campaign, you’ll complete three storyline chapters in each zone. The Retaking the Mines quest is in chapter one.
