‘Very, very’ NYT Mini answer

The solution for the “Very, very” clue on the Sept. 24 NYT Mini Crossword is “OH SO” stylized as “OHSO” for this puzzle. You can add this phrase before something to mean extremely, exceptionally, or “Very, very.”

‘Very, very’ clue difficulty rating

I always find clues that are two words rather than one to be extra tricky, and this is a pretty tough one. I wouldn’t say “OHSO” is a super common phrase and not one I would directly relate to the given clue, making this one even harder. The double Os in the solution also makes it tricky to guess.

Because of this, I’m giving the “Very, very” clue a full five out of five difficulty rating. I think it’s one of the toughest clues I’ve seen on the NYT Mini Crossword.
