The Medium build may look basic, but it’s by far the most versatile class in THE FINALS. Depending on how you build it, you can become the team’s healer, engineer, or movement specialist if you have the right loadout.

Best loadout for the Medium build in THE FINALS
- Specialization: Healing Beam or Guardian Turret
- Weapon: FCAR or FAMAS
- Gadgets: Pyro Grenade, Gas Mine, Defibrillator
Your specialization will depend on how you want to play the match and the game mode. Healing Beam is a great utility because of how long it takes for health to start regenerating. Thanks to the speed of the beam, you can heal your team quickly in the middle of the fight and easily turn the tables in your favor. If you want to be more offensive-minded, Guardian Turret is a powerhouse when guarding a cashout. Players often have to ignore it when contesting the objective, giving you free damage and sometimes even kills.
The FCAR is one of the best weapons in THE FINALS, thanks to its damage, range, and accuracy. A smaller magazine forces you to be mindful when shooting, but if you feel like shots don’t connect, use the FAMAS instead. It’s a great all-around rifle that’s easier to control and deal consistent damage with.
After several changes in season two, the choice of utility for the Medium build has slightly changed. The Defibrillator is still a must-have on a Medium build, even with a revive delay. The ability to instantly get your teammate up without sitting for four seconds can save you in many fights. I recommend getting offensive gadgets like Pyro Grenades and Gas Mines to control chokepoints and clear out goo.
Best reserve loadout for the Medium build in THE FINALS
Medium is the only class in THE FINALS I used the reserve loadout on because of how versatile it is. With the battlefield changing every minute from endless explosions, it’s worth having these items at the ready:
- Weapons: FAMAS, Model 1887
- Gadgets: Jump Pad, APS Turret
I already went over the FAMAS, which is great when my aim is complete garbage. Additionally, I’ve included the Model 1887 shotgun in case I know the next gunfight will be close-range because it’s a great weapon to fight with up close.
Jump Pad is a useful mobility gadget that can be very annoying when used to block the enemy’s entrance to the cashout. If the enemies love using grenades, like the Glitch Grenade, the APS Turret is another worthy gadget to have at the ready.
While I went over the core items to use as a Medium build in THE FINALS, there are still multiple gadgets available if you want to lean into a certain playstyle, like zip lines or a new Data Reshaper, so feel free to experiment.
