As Teamfight Tactics Set 11 Inkborn Fables wraps up, players are excited about what Riot Games developers have cooked up for Set 12—and rightfully so.
Here’s every release date for TFT Set 12, confirmed by Riot.
What is the TFT Set 12 PBE release date?
The Magic n’ Mayhem TFT set is now live on PBE servers. Everything for Set 12 dropped into PBE servers on July 16, one day before Patch 14.14. I recommend playing the new set before it releases onto live servers to learn all the new champions, traits, and Augments. You’ll also want to refer to my Charm list, Magic n” Mayhem’s main mechanic.
Other changes to watch for are champion pool sizes and XP to level up. Mana that exceeds a champion’s maximum mana now carries over instead of vanishing, but units that are mana-locked won’t have the excess mana rollover. Econ traits have been replaced by high-stakes Augments going forward. And there are several top-tier vertical comps worth learning to play before Set 12 officially releases.
When does TFT Set 12 release on live servers?
Riot has officially confirmed the release date of TFT Set 12, with it dropping into live servers on July 31 through Patch 14.15.
When will TFT Set 12 spoilers drop?
We’ll update you when spoilers will come around for the new Set.
What is the name of TFT Set 12?
Riot confirmed the name of Set 12 on July 9. The Magic n’ Mayhem set will include champions like Morgana, Briar, Nunu, and Hwei. This is the second TFT set for Hwei and the first official set for Briar.
What to play in TFT and watch until Set 12 releases
Set 11 isn’t as exciting as past TFT sets, but organized competitive play is still worth watching. Leading up to the release of Set 12 are regional Set 11 Golden Spatula tournaments, which will determine who competes at the Inkborn Fables Tactician’s Crown Championship.
If you are looking for casual play with an exciting meta, I highly recommend playing Pengu’s Party. The temporary mode was balanced through Patch 14.14, featuring two traits from every TFT set since the autobattler first launched. Pengu’s Party will run until July 15, and Patch 14.14 is packed with wild balance changes so players who aren’t testing TFT Set 12 can have fun.
