Even top streaming celebrities get banned from platforms like Twitch, and Amouranth is no different. The 29-year-old was banned for the sixth time on Twitch on May 4, and will have to put her broadcasts on pause while the ban is active.

Twitch never discloses why its content creators get banned, but we know that happens when they break the Amazon-owned platform’s guidelines. Amouranth has been pushing boundaries since 2020 and practically shaped Twitch’s Terms of Services when she became the main star of a content genre infamously named the “hot tub meta,” which relies on producing sexually suggestive content inside of a tub. The hot tub meta eventually led to Twitch creating its own category for pools and hot tubs. That, however, is part of why Amouranth has made so much money over the past years.

Here’s everything we know about Amouranth’s sixth Twitch ban on May 4.

Why was Amouranth banned from Twitch?

If you, like me, are curious to know what led Amouranth to be suspended from Twitch for the sixth time since 2019, you’ll have to wait a bit. As we mentioned above, Twitch never comments on the reasoning behind bans. Luckily, a lot of the streamers do that for the platform and comment on their ban hours after it, and Amouranth is no different.

At the time this article was written, however, Amouranth hasn’t come forward to explain why Twitch banned her on May 4. It’s difficult to say what exactly happened unless she reveals the reason, as even her most loyal fans don’t know why Twitch suspended her.

All we can do for now is hope that Amouranth explains herself in the next couple of days, as she did in her past bans. Her last suspension from the Amazon-owned platform in October 2021 lasted three days, so it’s likely that she’ll be offline on Twitch for a while, as suspensions usually get harsher when creators accrue a number of them.

This article will be updated whenever Amouranth says why she was banned.
