IShowSpeed has a talent for getting himself in odd situations and challenges. Recently, he claimed he’s never lost a race—so an Olympic sprinter challenged him to one.
In one of his recent streams, the American content creator was messaged by his fan with a clip of a Polish 100 meter sprinter, Ewa Swoboda. After watching the clip, Speed claimed “nobody in the world” could beat him. The Polish athlete, who’s currently competing at the 2024 Paris Olympics, addressed the claim and challenged him to a race in Poland.
“Nobody in the world can beat me in a race… I have never in my life, chat, there was no point in my life when I ever lost a race, bro,” IShowSpeed said. “And I mean it deep down, bro…that’s why people called me speed when I was little, because I never lost a race.”
IShowSpeed is fairly popular in Poland, especially after his two visits to the country that took place this summer. Therefore, it wasn’t surprising to see the clip make it to Swoboda. She mentioned how she got to know about IShowSpeed’s comments thanks to a conversation with her parents.
“He’s some kind of YouTuber [Speed]. I’ve heard about him, I sometimes see him on my Instagram, but I won’t say much,” she said when asked if she’s familiar with the content creator.
“I called my parents to share my new tattoo with them, and they told me ‘god, Ewa, have you seen that some kind of YouTuber challenged you to a race,'” Swoboda added. “If he comes to Poland and will start in the RMF FM contest, then maybe I’ll race him. But he was already in Poland, so I don’t think the chances of that happening are high.”
The RMF FM contest will take place on Aug. 24 in Stadion Slaski in Chorzów, Poland. Those who win their respective races during the competition will be able to race Swoboda in her default distance, 100 meters. “Maybe he can sign up for the race in time,” Swoboda said.
We know IShowSpeed likes participating in numerous challenges, and if he already claimed he’s never lost a race, we presume it would be best to stay true to his word and return to Poland to prove it. Recently he jumped over two speeding sports cars, for which his YouTube channel was apparently banned. If he can do that, he shouldn’t have any issues racing Swoboda.
The Polish athlete finished ninth in the women’s 100 meters competition in Paris, just one millisecond shy of qualifying to the finals. She’s definitely in stellar form, so if Speed wants to remain undefeated, he’d better start training as hard as possible.
