Ryujin Industries is a faction based in the city of Neon that you can join in Starfield. This faction and its missions differ from the various government-based ones, such as the United Colonies or Freestar Collective, as it follows a corporate tech giant.

You will be able to join Ryujin Industries immediately after landing on Neon, found on the Volii Alpha planet. As soon as you enter Neon’s Core, you will receive the “Back to the Grind” quest. Another distinguishing feature of Ryujin is that in order to join, you will need to complete a formal job application and interview, which is possible to fail.

If you manage to make it in Ryujin Industries, you will climb the corporate ladder as you learn more about the company’s secrets and enemies. Whether you are just starting the grunt work or wrapping up the faction’s main questline, these are the Ryujin Industries missions in Starfield.

Similar to the other major factions in Starfield, Ryujin Industries has both a variety of side quests and a main storyline that you can complete. I highly recommend picking up this faction mission, as I found it an excellent way to gain levels, credits, and unique rewards in my own playthrough.

Ryujin Industries’ main quest chain is slightly longer than many of the other factions, with 11 total missions. Below is each mission in the order that you will complete it:

  • Back to the Grind
  • One Step Ahead
  • A New Narrative
  • Access Is Key
  • Sowing Discord
  • Accidents Happen
  • Maintaining the Edge
  • Top Secrets
  • Background Checks
  • Guilty Parties
  • The Key Ingredient
  • Sabotage
  • Executive Level

As you might guess from this cyberpunk-inspired capitalist enterprise, you will largely commit acts of corporate espionage and light crime work to blackmail or completely dismantle opposing corporations. Being a member of Ryujin won’t stop you from joining the other various factions in Starfield, though some companions will make their distrust of the company well-known.

Back to the Grind

First, you’ll have to apply for a job at any Ryujin Industries kiosk. Following that, you’ll want to head to Ryujin Tower in Neon. When you’re there, you’ll interview with Imogene Salzo. After getting the job, you’ll be asked to pick up coffee orders at Terrabrew. Bring the coffee order back, and meet with Alexis Pryce, Camden Cho, Genevieve Monohan, and LInden Calderi. Finally, speak with Imogen once more.

One Step Ahead

After speaking with Imogen, you’ll have to upload a program onto a CeltCorp computer. You’ll have to sneak in from the Astral Lounge and ensure you have a digipick or two at your disposal. Once you’ve uploaded the program successfully, you’ll return once more to Imogen.

A New Narrative

Talk once more with Imogen, and she’ll instruct you to head to Akila City, where you’ll be planting confidential files at Laredo Firearms to expose their corruption. Once again, you’ll need to make sure that you have a supply of digipicks ready to go. With that done, you’ll have to return and report to Imogen yet again.

Access Is Key

Speak with Imogen, and she’ll ask you to acquire a Security Keycard. To do that, you’ll have to speak with and persuade Aito Suzuki in the Spaceport Terminal in Neon. With the persuasion complete and the Security Keycard in hand, return again to Imogen.

Sowing Discord

Imogen will ask you to visit the Astral Lounge and influence both Arthur Cruz and Zola Adisa to be against Ryujin competitor Infinity LTD. You’ll have to do plenty of persuading, and afterward, you’ll need to switch Nina Hart’s presentation. This will require some digipicking. With all of this complete, you guessed it, head back to Imogen.

Accidents Happen

Imogen wants you to travel across the stars to visit Hopetown on the planet Polvo in the Valo system. Once you’re there, you’ll have to follow your objective marker to plant an ARC device at HopeTech. With that complete, Imogen will be expecting your return.

Maintaining the Edge

The next step in your story of corporate espionage, as Imogen will tell you, is to obtain a prototype schematic from Trident Luxury Lines Staryard to keep Ryujin ahead of the competition. This staryard can be found in the orbit of the planet Akila in the Cheyenne system. Obtaining the schematic requires you to get past an Expert digipick lock, so you’ll want to plan accordingly. Once you’ve nabbed it, return the schematic to Imogen.

Top Secrets

You’ll need to meet with Ularu Chen to start this mission. Then, you’ll have to speak with Maeve Salini, wait for Ularu Chen, and finally head off to Cydonia on Mars in the Sol system. Your goal is to acquire stolen Ryujin Industries files for confidential technology known as Project Dominion.

On Cydonia, you’ll be meeting with and persuading Simon Ryczek to obtain an audio file. Listen to the file, and you’ll be directed to the spot where you can retrieve the Project Dominion files via digipicking. With the files in hand, return to Ryujin Tower and meet with Ularu. Ularu will then lead you to Masako Imada.

Background Checks

Masako will reveal to you that they believe there is a mole in Ryujin Industries. For starters, you’ll be investigating Ularu. You’ll speak with Dalton Fiennes to get started on this mission. He’ll instruct you to meet with a hacker named Nyx at Madame Sauvage’s place.

With Nyx’s assistance, you’ll be infiltrating Ryujin Tower. Once you’re inside, you’ll have to run a program on Ularu’s computer. Once that’s finished, you’ll have to leave Ryujin Tower and meet Nyx at his apartment. After speaking with Nyx, you’ll return and converse with Dalton at Ryujin Tower to report that Imogen is actually the mole.

Guilty Parties

Unfortunately, Imogene has taken off, and you need to track her down. To find her, you’ll have to head to the Seokguh Syndicate hideout in Neon. After confronting Imogene, she’ll tell you that she’s been framed by the real mole—Ularu. You’ll have to decide whether or not to believe Imogene, and head back to Dalton.

The Key Ingredient

You’ll start this mission by meeting Masako in Veena Kalra’s office. You’ll be asked to install the Project Dominion technology into your own brain. To do that, you’ll have to collect a rare material known as Rothicite. Head to CM Station RC-1 on the moon Carinae III-A in the Carinae system, and you’ll find, after battling through plenty of enemies in the facility, that the Rothicite has been taken to The Clinic in the Narion system.

The Clinic is orbiting the planet Deepala. Once aboard, you’ll be able to find not only the shipment of Rothicite, but evidence that Infinity LTD has been using The Clinic to conduct illegal human trials. With this knowledge and the Rothicite, you’ll head back to Ryujin Tower to report to Veena and Masako.

Sabotage

After meeting with Dalton, you’ll be asked to wipe all evidence of Project Dominion from Infinity LTD. This will require sneaking into their building, hacking some terminals, and stealing a prototype Neuroamp, all to wipe any information they stole and gather evidence of their crimes. You’ll even have to use the Project Dominion technology to manipulate another human at some point.

Once you’ve stealthed or blasted your way through this mission, you’ll take all of the gathered evidence to David Barron at SSNN. Finally, you’ll report back to Masako at Ryujin Tower.

Executive Level

After all of that, you’ll have to attend a meeting with the seven Ryujin Industries board members. You’ll have to persuade them whether to shut down Infinity LTD entirely or to buy the company. Additionally, you’ll have to convince them to either invest in the development of Project Dominion technology or to completely stop all research.

Once you’re done meeting with the board, the Ryujin Industries questline will be completed.
