How to find Selo Rovak in Star Wars Outlaws

Rovak, Rovak your boat...

You need to find different Experts to keep enhancing Kay’s skills in Star Wars Outlaws. And while your speeder is nice enough to start the game, you’ll soon want to go even faster—but you need to find Selo Rovak for that.

Selo Rovak is a mechanic who can help give you the boost you need for your speeder. However, like most people in Star Wars Outlaws, she’ll need you to do something for her in return. Here’s how to track her down and get yourself a speed boost.

Star Wars Outlaws The Mechanic quest walkthrough

Where to find The Mechanic

Finding The Mechanic begins in Jaunta’s Hope at Daruda Diner. You originally get info from Danka after the New Tricks quest that the bartender at Daruda Diner knows someone who can give your speeder a boost, and you can start looking for The Mechanic right then. If you leave it for later, the main questline eventually makes you complete this Expert Intel quest anyway.

The bartender reveals the Speeder Mechanic is Selo Rovak, but you need to find someone in the windfishing settlement called Kadua who knows her. After going to Kadua, talk to the people repairing a windfishing trap, who tell you that Selo’s shop is actually close to Jaunta’s Hope, on the cliff to the northeast.

This is technically an area to search and not an exact location, but when you get to the top of this mountain, Selo’s shop is pretty hard to miss. If you’re having trouble finding it, just follow the tell-tale plume of smoke coming up from the center of her little camp.

When you approach, you should also see speeder parts lying all around, letting you know that this is, in fact, the mechanic you’re looking for.

Selo is open to helping you but needs you to get an atmospheric accelerator she made for the Imperials. Turns out, they’ve used it in a wind facility and have taken enough wind from around Toshara that it’s been harming the local farmers and windfishers, which you might remember the people in Kadua referencing. Getting that accelerator not only helps you boost your speeder but also helps the farmers.

Take your speeder over the facility marked on your map, and then use the mags Selo gives you to shut down the turbine, giving you an entrance to the facility.

How to get through the Imperial Wind Facility

As you’re going through the Imperial Wind Facility, keep in mind that there are no guards in this level. So don’t worry about running around or sneaking; there’s no one here to appreciate your stealthy moves.

Once you’ve shut down the turbine leading into the facility, get back on your speeder and ride right in. Trust me, you want to use your speeder for this part, as it makes the whole mission much shorter. Eventually, you come to the facility proper, where you have to get off. Use Nix to take down the energy barrier in front of you and climb through a vent on the right.

From here, you have to figure out a series of climbing sections with fans that will try to blow you off. Be on the lookout for pylons you can shoot to stop some of these fans and clear your path. Other than that, just keep following your markers and follow the patterns of the fans starting and stopping. The whole mission is basically climbing and platforming, and it is pretty straightforward.

Eventually, you get to the facility’s control room and take the atmospheric accelerator Selo sent you to find. This effectively shuts the facility down and lets you catch some serious air while riding your speeder out of there.

Return to Selo’s shop with the part, and you’ll get a new speeder boost to use. It can help get you out of the jam if you’re running from enemies—or get you to new areas with the help of some ramps.
