With portals enhancing the traditional arena-shooter experience, Splitgate 2 keeps much of what earned the first Splitgate such a passionate fan base. But it also updates that formula with three factions, each with unique abilities, Perks, and weapons.
Splitgate 2 offers three factions (or classes): Aeros, Meridian, and Sabrask. Each has a unique playstyle, with players making loadouts with weapons, equipment, and attachments.
So, if you’re wondering about the weapons in Splitgate 2, we’ve listed all the guns below.
Every weapon in Splitgate 2 Alpha
Every faction has three primary weapons and a secondary pistol for players to build their loadouts. Here are all the weapons in each Splitgate 2 faction:
Aeros weapons in Splitgate 2
Fast and agile, Aeros Aces let you use portals to control any arena quickly.
- Tempo (Assault rifle): Versatile weapon that will be your steady companion as you go the distance.
- Cadence (Carbine): For precision shooting to target your opponent’s weakness.
- Sprinter (SMG): Fast fire-rate machine gun that slows down over time.
- Blink (Light Pistol).
Meridian weapons in Splitgate 2
Meridian Aces offer energy-based weaponry in Splitgate 2:
- Synapse (Assault Rifle): Versatile assault rifle that unleashes powerful energy bolts.
- Quantum (Burst Rifle): Offers four bursts per fire.
- Charger (Shotgun): Railgun-style shotgun with incredible damage up close.
- Helios (Light Pistol): Medium-high fire rate, semi-auto energy pistol.
Sabrask weapons in Splitgate 2
Sabrask Aces defend their team with strength and explosive force. The faction’s role leans strongly toward defense and offers weaponry that deals lethal damage in close to mid ranges:
- Plow (Shotgun): Pump-action shotgun for when you need to clear a path.
- Trailblazer (Assault Rifle): Higher damage assault rifle that fits in any loadout.
- Warden (Carbine): Slightly slower fire rate, but higher damage carbine to keep your opponents in line.
- Slinger (Pistol): Semi-auto pistol perfect for those quick on the draw.
Splitgate 2 power weapons
Two power weapons also periodically spawn at fixed spots in the arenas: Splitstream and Fubar. As the name suggests, Splitstream is an assault rifle that splits into a pistol and a rifle (dual-wielding) when you ADS with the weapon. However, you can’t use your abilities while the gun is split. On the other hand, Fubar is the triple rocket launcher, as seen in the official Splitgate 2 cinematic trailer.
When you kill an enemy, you can also pick up their weapon, regardless of their faction. This means you spawn with your faction’s guns but then can run any weapon you want by picking it up from the ground. Additionally, each gun lets you equip attachments to improve its damage, accuracy, recoil control, fire rate, and range.
We can expect more weapons or significant tweaks to the existing arsenal when Splitgate 2 is fully released sometime in 2025. In the meantime, you can try to get into Splitgate 2’s Alpha, which is eginning on Aug. 21 at 11am CT.
