To earn the Hang Ten trophy in Spider-Man 2, you’ll need to perform 30 tricks in a row without touching the ground—so, basically, become an acrobatics master. But there are also a couple of other important things to note.

As well as not touching the ground, you also cannot touch the top of a building or any other object. This includes lamppost and advertising signs. Doing so will reset the trophy and require you to start again.

However, you can swing from your webs throughout, so you just need to find the perfect area that provides plenty of room for your tricks, as well as having plenty of buildings to latch onto.

The Hang Ten trophy in Spider-Man 2 was one of the last I needed to complete Platinum on the game, having failed several times previously before I finally found the right spot.

I recommend heading to Midtown and finding a street that has several tall buildings to swing between, then start swinging and performing a few aerial tricks at a time before then swinging again.

Hang Ten trophy tips

Still having a hard time with the Hang Ten trophy in Spider-Man 2? Well, here are some tips that can aid you in your challenge to get closer to achieving the Platinum trophy.

Swinging near the edge of Manhattan provides the best range for performing many aerial tricks because it features a large strip of buildings.

Tip:

Start from the Financial District and swing your way to Hell’s Kitchen.

Try to swing over rivers such as the Hudson River or the East River. These are great spots since they are low on obstacles and just allow for smooth sailing.

Tip:

Make sure not to crash into the water before you perform all 30 of your aerial tricks, as this will reset the challenge as well.

Try swinging or gliding between aerial tricks without looking at the ground, touching surfaces or coming to a full stop.

Tip:

Utilizing your web wings to glide and get to higher areas before performing aerial tricks will not reset your challenge.

Hang Ten Trophy in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, summarized

Getting the Hang Ten trophy in Spider-Man 2 can be a challenge, which is the point. However, there are tons of tips and tricks to alleviate the difficulty of obtaining the trophy. Here is a rundown of what the Hang Ten trophy is:

  • You’ll need to perform 30 tricks in a row without touching the ground.
  • Do not touch surfaces or let obstacles stop you, such as lampposts, cars, and road signs.
  • Trying swinging in places like the edge of Manhattan, Midtown, Hudson River and the East River.
  • Try to swing and or glide between aerial tricks to maintain height.

The best method I found was to head to Midtown and continue swinging until my line of tall buildings on either side ended, so I turned around mid-swing and went back the opposite way. It took me around two-and-a-half lengths of this method to unlock the Hang Ten trophy in Spider-Man 2.
