While we’ve witnessed many iconic seasons full of content so far, the ongoing season 17 is one of the biggest updates Rocket League has received in a long time. This neo-arcade-themed update has been mighty impressive, from new experiences like Online Free Play and Neo Tokyo (Arcade) Arena to the flashy new Shokunin car. Players can also earn a bunch of exciting event-based and seasonal rewards in season 17. So, if you haven’t finished your Rocket Pass grind yet, make sure to grab all the rewards before the season ends in March.

You can see the end date of a current Rocket League season from the Rocket Pass screen in-game.

When is the next Rocket League season?

While Psyonix is yet to reveal the exact start date of season 18, we can certainly make a close guess. As you can see, the last 14 seasons have lasted close to three months. Also, a new season begins the same day the old one ends. So, Rocket League season 18 should commence on March 5, right after season 17 concludes.

The usual patch release time is at 6pm CT. You may be temporarily blocked from playing the ranked mode or face login errors right before the patch is deployed. But don’t worry; things go back to normal once the patch is live.

Tip: Which is the longest Rocket League season to date?

The longest-running Rocket League season is Legacy Season Three, which ran for nine months—from June 20, 2016, to March 22, 2017.

If you’re wondering what Psyonix is planning for season 18, here’s an official teaser that players found in the official Rocket League Discord server.

The teaser may not seem enough to make a correct guess, but based on it, many fans are anticipating new sound effects for the Crossbar, among other features—or a possible indication of the next theme. Unfortunately, that’s all we know about the upcoming season. As its launch date nears, Psyonix may release more teasers to keep fans busy, so keep an eye out.

Note that Rocket League season end dates may change due to unforeseen circumstances. You can keep an eye on the official X (formerly Twitter) page of the game for such updates.
