A second season will kick off next month, but with a change in format. There are now two stages of the LAN finals, the group stage and the final, each of which will be attended by 16 teams according to a press release. Sixteen invited teams will participate in the group stage for eight slots in the finals event. The other eight slots in the finals will be filled by the best eight teams from StarSeries i-League PUBG’s first season.

There’s a $100,000 prize pool at stake for the finals event. First prize gets the lion’s share of the pot, totaling $50,000.

StarSeries i-League PUBG season two will be broadcast over eight match days, with 24 matches in the group stage and 24 matches in the finals. All matches will be streamed live on Twitch. The group stage is scheduled to begin on Aug. 25 and run through Aug. 28. The finals will be held Aug. 30 to Sept. 2.

Invited teams for StarSeries i-League PUBG’s second season have not been announced. The first season of the event ended in early March with FaZe Clan taking home the $50,000 top prize. Team Liquid, Team Vitality, and Cloud9 rounded out the top four. The format for season one had only 16 participating teams, meaning this year is bringing in a lot of new blood.
