An unexpected issue has delayed the deployment of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds vaulting and climbing update, the game’s developer announced today.

The original plan was to have the update hit the game’s test servers this week, with at least a few days of heavy testing to iron out the kinks of the game-changing mechanic. However, something has gone awry.

PUBG Corp was not specific on the details of what happened or why, but the issue is apparently severe enough for the developer to push back the update—with no further release window given at this time.

Vaulting and climbing was originally announced at E3 in June and has been one of the most sought-after features in the game since. It will add a huge wrinkle into PUBG’s current formula, as players will be able to climb through windows and on top of places that they never would have been able to before.

Once the update hits the test servers, PUBG Corp plans to roll out the full 1.0 update some time before the end of 2017. The massive update could coincide with the launch of the Xbox One version of the game on Dec. 12, but it remains to be seen if this delay will have an effect on that.
