The early access title is still a work-in-progress, and it has had a fair share of maintenance issues since its release in March. But this week has been especially difficult for players hoping to win some chicken dinners.

A quick look at PUBG’s Twitter will show just how much of a struggle this past week has been, as there have been tweets acknowledging the issues over the last four days.

Players have been commonly reporting varying errors saying “Unknown login error” when attempting to connect to the game’s servers. And if they can connect at all, sometimes the error pops up mid-game as well, and they’re unable to continue playing.

This weekend for PUBG saw yet another new high of 1.6 million concurrent players reached, according to SteamCharts. It’s possible that the increasingly high volume of players, especially on the weekends, is contributing to the frustrating server problems.

It seems like the issues are persisting as of now, but connections are still possible, depending on luck or other circumstances. Whatever the exact server issue may be, players are not happy with recent developments.
