The biggest esports event in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds history begins later today, as 20 teams from around the world take on each other for a shot at the largest prize pool in PUBG history.
The tournament kicks off at 10am CT at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany from today until July 29 for five days of hectic PUBG action. Day one will see teams compete in third-person perspective (TPP) matches for a chance at winning a share of the $1 million prize pool.
Teams such as Team Liquid, Team Gates, ahq e-Sports Club, and Gen.G Gold and Black all qualified for the event from their respective regions. The event promises to pit the best PUBG squads against each other to see which is the best in the world.

The TPP portion of the event will end on July 26 with the first-person (FPP) event playing out on July 28 & 29. Another $1 million will be on the line for the second part of the tournament.
The PGI 2018 will also play host to the community event on July 27. Some of the biggest names in battle royale games, such as Shroud, Ninja, and DrDisRespect, will play against each other to try and win a share of another $1 million prize pool for a charity of their choice.
