The announcement follows the team’s underwhelming performance in the NPL Royale. The club also revealed that it had released manager Christopher “BixLE” Dunbar as well.

Envy failed to make it out of the group stage of the NPL Royale, a one-off event that saw the 16 National PUBG League teams take on the 16 NPL Contenders squads, but are currently sitting in second place in the regular season.

CAD3N, who joined Envy on Oct. 23, 2017, reacted to the news on Twitter, explaining to his followers that this move is “probably the worst feeling in the world.”

A number of CAD3N’s fellow professional players also expressed surprise about the move. This includes Michael “hypoc” Robbins, a player for Why Tempt Fate.

There’s no word on whether CAD3N will join another team in the near future, but a player of his stature and experience could well be in high demand from other teams in the NPL and Contenders.
