GAMURS Group, a leading esports media network, is partnering with Legacy Esports, which is owned by the Australian Football League’s Adelaide Football Club, to begin testing a new artificial intelligence technology that targets esports and gaming.
It’s an ideal partnership for two organizations that are leading the way in Australian esports.
The Club, which runs one of the largest Australian Rules football teams in the country, was the first Australian sporting organisation to acquire a professional esports team when it purchased Legacy Esports in May 2017. Legacy manages teams in several esports titles, including League of Legends, CS:GO, Rocket League, Overwatch, Starcraft II and Super Smash Bros.
GAMURS’s flagship brand, Dot Esports, is the premier worldwide news outlet covering esports. The company’s new AI software, Gamer AI, uses a combination of artificial intelligence and machine learning to predict win rates and refine team combinations, as well as overall strategy.
GAMURS will provide the technology to Legacy Esports, and Legacy’s teams and players will have access to the technology. Legacy will use Gamer AI on a trial basis to evaluate how the software benefits its teams. The partnership aims to bring the insights provided by professional esports teams to a larger and more casual or semi-pro player base using the Gamer AI companion app. It will also be able to provide specific training for individual players, running predictive analyses for tournament results and more.
This is the first business deal of its kind in Australia.
