What time does the Unrivaled Dragonite Tera Raid event start and end in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

The original Dragon Pokémon is here.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raids continue their break from Starters to give us the first seven-star event featuring a Powerhouse Pokémon—Dragonite.

Following the previous seven-star raid event with Dondozo, Dragonite is here to shake up those epic Tera battles. For this event, the Gen I Powerhouse Pokémon has the Normal Tera Type, similar to how it’s generally run in competitive VGC. With the Normal Tera Type, Dragonite can spam quick and strong Extreme Speeds before the opposing Pokémon attacks. On top of that, it only has one defensive weakness in Fighting, which can be countered with Flying-type attacks like Aerial Ace or Hurricane.

That’s why you’ll have to be extra careful when choosing a counter for this raid battle. It may be a situation where the Stellar Tera Type comes in handy so that your Pokémon’s Fighting-type attacks can be boosted without having to suffer from its defensive weakness to Flying. Bulky Steel-type Pokémon with Body Press and the Stellar Tera Type, for example, should have a huge advantage over Dragonite. I’m personally going to bring my trusty Orthworm, but whichever counter you decide on, make sure you have it ready to go before the event ends.

Here’s exactly when you can challenge and catch Unrivaled Dragonite in Scarlet and Violet.

When is the Unrivaled Dragonite Tera Raid event in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

Unlike the Unrivaled Starter Tera Raid events, the seven-star Dragonite raids are only scheduled for one event period rather than two, so don’t miss it. The special Dragonite Tera Raids will appear in Scarlet and Violet from Thursday, Aug. 22 at 7:00pm CT until Sunday, Sept. 1 at 6:59pm CT.

At the same time, there will also be special Mass Outbreaks to match the theme of Powerhouse Pokémon. Look out for Larvitar and Bagon Mass Outbreaks in the Paldea region, Goomy and Hisuian Sliggoo in Kitakami, and Beldum in Blueberry Academy’s Terarium. All of the Pokémon found in these event outbreaks will have boosted Shiny odds, as well as an increased chance of carrying the rare Charismatic Mark. Perhaps you’ll run into some of these outbreaks on your way to the Dragonite raid.

So if you’re a fan of Powerhouse Pokémon, or “pseudo-Legendaries” as they were previously called by the community, now’s the time to hop back into Scarlet and Violet.
