Hisuian Sneasel was introduced to Pokémon Go during the Hisuian Discoveries event in the summer of 2022. And since then, it has remained one of the most difficult Pokémon for players to encounter.
This regional form of Sneasel made its debut in Pokémon Legends: Arceus as a Poison/Fighting-type with white fur and purple-stained claws, feather, and chest coloration. It is capable of evolving into Sneasler, whose long body and sharp claws allow it to excel at climbing steep cliffs—and even carry others up those cliffs.
But for players to get a Sneasler for themselves in Pokémon Go, they’re going to not only need 100 Sneasel Candies, which can be gathered by catching any form of Sneasel, but they’ll need to locate and catch a Hisuian Sneasel, which remains restricted to specific durations.
How can I catch Hisuian Sneasel in Pokémon Go?
Hisuian Sneasel has finally appeared as a Pokémon that can spawn in the overworld alongside the Solstice Horizons event, where players may find it very rarely during the daytime. After this event concludes on June 25, 2023, it will be removed from the regular spawn pool and once more only be available during specific Raid event periods and occasionally through seven-kilometer Eggs.
To get seven-kilometer Eggs, make sure you refrain from spinning PokéStops while you have space for Eggs, and instead open up gifts from friends until your inventory is full of seven-kilometer Eggs. PokéStops will not give out seven-kilometer Eggs, so spinning one will not give players the Eggs with the Hisuian form Pokémon in them.
There is also a possibility that Hisuian Sneasel will headline a Community Day in the future, where its Shiny form will henceforth become available, though Niantic has not indicated that it will appear as the spotlight of a Community Day anytime soon.
